I can eat 1200 a day...but it doesn't seem like enough at all - and that's with eating high protein, fiberous foods.

I DO enjoy eating and take great pleasure in it. I admit I do like a nice feast and tend to over eat.

Do I feel satisfied? yes..a little...but I MISS pigging out.Chat Icon

I'm guessing this is more of an emotional tie to eating?

Definitely an emotional tie. It took me about months to feel like I didn't want to just stuff my face.

I miss just not thinking about what I was eating, and going out to eat and getting whatever I felt like. But I suppose losing weight will be worth it!

Have you considered allowing yourself one cheat meal per week? It can often help to boost your metabolism and your spirits Chat Icon

It is totally emotional! I never have the desire to stuff my face now, and actually feel weird when I give myself a "cheat" day - I tend to drink my calories on those days though Chat Icon

did u find it was easy to overcome ? I know you lost a lOt (congrats!) but it's such a hard thing for me.

A cheat day is good. Maybe I'll do it once a week and then wean myself.

It's such a struggle this time. I get mad at myself

It is definitely emotional. I used to binge (and purge) and it was something that I had to overcome with therapy. The things I used to pig out on, I can now look at and take either a taste or a scoop, and be okay. No urges to pig out unless I have a VERY bad day and even in that case, I figure out other ways to deal with my pain.
