What does writing have to do with motherhood, unless one is writing ABOUT motherhood ?
I am childless, yet feel plenty of emotion, sometimes quite gut wrenching.
Such ignorance in the article.

Absurd. I'm a mom and clicked over here by accident. And I've read all but one or two of Maeve Binchy's books. I don't know how any of them could have been better.
ETA- I read the article, which was stupid, and read the comments, which were mostly awesome, especially the ones that called her a "whiny prat."
