D & C
Just found out this morning that the baby has stopped growing and no heartbeat to be seen. I should be 7wk 3d but am still measuring at 6wks. This is my second m/c in 16 months not counting chemicals and I am just numb. My RE mentioned doing a D & C and testing the embryo to see what they could find out. My question is this. They only do D & C's on Thursdays and what if I start bleeding before that? Will they still do one? In the past I would start bleeding about two days after stopping meds. Anyone been through this?

They might do one anyway, based on your levels and if you pass the sac on your own. A friend of mine miscarried naturally (sac and all - sorry if TMI  ) and a few weeks later, her HCG levels were still high enough that she needed a D&C. I'm so sorry you are going through this.

i had both a natural m/c and a d&c. As horrible as it sounds, i passed the sac at home with the natural m/c and brought it to the hospital with me The Dr said that it was the right thing to do. I did not need a d&c after this, it was a complete m/c. So sorry you are expereincing this
