Where do you get....
Usually on Goodreads. I belong to several forums on there and there are a lot of recommendations. I can see what people I follow there are reading, and will get ideas from there. The Goodreads emails have a lot of recommendations too. Oddly, I can't stand their tool for getting recommendations based on what you have on your bookshelves!

Where do you get....
i find certain authors i like and read their stuff. i check out good reads for what others are reading and for recommendations. (I agree with a pp that their recommendations don't appear to be on target.) I use this board. I browse best seller lists. I see what the authors I like recommend. and sometimes on FB somebody will post something about a really good book they read. i browse amazon lists and recommendations. i generally keep a long "to read" list on my phone and on good reads. the order changes all the time. when i pass a book store, i still love to go in and jot down some titles i want to read.

I just started using Goodreads this summer so that helps.
I also read a lot of Nancy Pearl-recommended books. Her books, Book Lust and More Book Lust, have great recommendations.
Once I find an author I like, I tend to read all of their books.
