After my D&C I was in a lot of pain. To the point where I was crying. Dr. said I should just have some cramping. I guess her "cramping felt like gun shot wounds in the stomach, because I was in pain!! The pain was gone the next day though. I had some light bleeding for about 4 days after and then on day five I bled really heavy. I was going through a pad an hour and clots and clots were coming out. it was pretty gross. I actually ended up going to ER, but they told me everything was ok, everybodies body just reacts differently. Hope you feel better!

Cramping is normal, but intense pains/contractions are not. I started having intense contractions 4 days after my D&C, to the point where I was moaning and screaming in pain. It got so bad and Motrin didn't help... I headed over to the ER. They did a sono there and saw that there was still tissue left inside causing my body to pretty much go into labor to get it out. They sent me home with Cytotec to pass the rest at home. If your pain is intense, I would call your RE/OB and have them do a sono to make sure everything is out.
