EDP Dental Plan. Who has it?
I need to see a dentist. I am in the worst pain ever and I don't have any dental coverage.
I heard about EDP and was wondering how it works.
Who here has it?
Can you tell me about it?
Do you have to pay for services in full up front then get reimburse?
If you have can you rec a dentist in the eastern Suffolk area. From Deer park to patchogue.

EDP Dental Plan. Who has it?
I used to have it about 5 years ago. I got it when I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed. You pay $99 for the year I believe for an individual. Basically it just reduces the amount you have to pay for the services. I think I ended up paying about $900 for 3 removals, x-rays, and anesthesia which was significantly less than what it would have cost without EDP. The dentist's office will charge you the reduced fee.
Sorry I don't have any reccs.

Re: EDP Dental Plan. Who has it?
I had it and it does significantly lower the money you have to pay. My dentist is in Deer Park and I know they accept it.
Dr.Sherese Leonard 83 Crossway Drive Deer Park, NY 11729 (631) 667-7778
They are great, really sweet and I never leave in pain. She does great root canals. Good Luck!

Re: EDP Dental Plan. Who has it?
I have it and have saved THOUSANDS over the 3 years I've had it.
I just found the dentist mentioned above and have my first appt. with them Sept. 11th. Looking forward to it actually bc I've seen such great reviews.
You pay the discounted rate. Just like you see on their website - they show the rate it normally is (which is 100% accurate - I had no insurance b4 EDP) And then shows the reduced rate. That is what you pay.
It is 10000% worth the 99 a year. We have the couple plan for $179 a year. You make your money back just in a cleaning & Xrays.
They also have a vision plan that discounts exams and glasses/contacts.

I was wrong, the website doesn't show b4 and after prices, but I've seen that in advertisements. You may be able to see that if you google for it.

Re: EDP Dental Plan. Who has it?
EDP general dentists have a much reduced fee schedule, which you pay in full up front.
For specialists (surgeons, periodontists, endodontists, orthodontists, etc) it is a 25% discount from their full fee. Again, you pay in full upfront.
You can also ask if the dentists participate in care credit - a kind of credit card for medical services. It is 0% interest, but you must qualify and make your payments on time. HTH!

Just to add with Endodontist reference - Raphaelson Group in DP (Which I mentioned before) has one on staff so it would be covered under EDP at their discounts price not the 25% reduction. Which is another reason why I'm going there
