spotting?
I am a regular poster, hiding my true identity because DH and I are not really letting people know that we're TTC.
I've been charting for the past few months and am starting to get the hang of it. I am due to get AF next Friday, but today I noticed some spotting. At first, it looked like AF was here, but it's turned brownish.
When would implantation spotting occur?

I read that implantation spotting could occur between 6dpo-10dpo. You are 7dpo (assuming a 14 day luteal phase), therefore what you are seeing can indeed be implantation spotting!

That would depend on how sensitive your HPT is. You can check peeonastick.com for information on the sensitivity of different brands. I also read on that website that it takes 2 days after implantation for HCG to make its way into your urine. Base on that, you can test in 2 days (10 dpo), but it is early so you can risk seeing a BFN. To be safe wait until 12-14 dpo.
