Re: I really need advice here
Maybe try a different therapist for him or have DH contact the school psychologist & ask for a meeting (maybe his team of teachers can monitor him & give their imput?)?
I'm sending many for you, your DD & your family.

Re: I really need advice here
You're welcome. I wish I could help more. Have you thought about posting about some of your observations on the parenting board? There's a much larger pool of people who may be able to help & much higher traffic there...
Also - something to think about - if your DH did call the school & ask for a meeting/information, maybe he'd get some strategies to help your family with him at your house, even if he doesn't have authorization to provide consent for anything further.

Re: I really need advice here
He is definitely falling through the cracks. I know I would be concerned as well.
I have to say, as someone who recently went through some really difficult things with my stepdaughter this past year and it took a year to get the mom on board. She didn't start therapy yet.... And no one is consistent with her. Sometimes you just have to do what you can to keep yourself and your dd safe. I know I need to take matters into my own hands to make sure I am affected as little as possible. I am sorry!

Just wondering. . . does your SS have friends? How does he interact with peers/kids in his classes, etc?

He has a couple of friends although they too are a little off too. He does get bullied a little. He had to delete his FB page at one point due to bullying. He has a hard time interacting with kids his age for the most part.
Its too bad you can't get him the help that is sounds like he needs. Its good that he's in therapy and even if he's not opening up yet, maybe he eventually will. Hopefully the therapist will be able to figure out what is wrong and how to help your SS.
