Frozen chicken - is this still good
I had a package of chicken breasts from the butcher that I froze and I just went to get them to defrost for dinner and a corner of the package was ripped (must have ripped in the freezer it wasn't like that when I bought them. It's just Saran wrap). If I cut off the piece that was exposed to air can I still use?

I don't see why not.

Re: Frozen chicken - is this still good
I think it's fine -- exposing it to air may make ice crystals form, which could affect the taste. But as long as it's stayed frozen the whole time and is not too old, there's no food safety issue.

Yes (and I am a totally paranoid nut when it comes to food safety and hygiene)
The worst thing is it may have a little harmless freezer burn.
LOVE the stilltasty site, I always use that as my reference!
