Easier to run in the summer vs fall?
Am I the only one who is like this? As soon as it starts getting cool out I can't run for the life of me. I've been running +/- 2 miles in the summer but realize that I must need the humid air to run. When it's cool out my chest hurts easily. Anyone else like this or have suggestions?

I am the complete opposite. I have such a hard time running in the heat and run much better and faster in the winter.

I am opposite as well. I love running in the fall and loathe running in the summer. Its much harder for me to breathe when it's really warm out and I hate that my skin feels like it's on fire

The only time I feel a difference is during the major season transitions. Eventually I get used to it.

Is it possible you have exercise induced asthma? I used to have issues exercising in cold, dry air and have an inhaler for it.
I don't know how I worked through it, maybe I conditioned my body over time, but I don't seem to have that issue anymore. I do know how you feel though, and it sucks.

Re: Easier to run in the summer vs fall?
I have mild asthma. For me, running in any 'extreme' weather is impossible. I purely ran on the treadmill all summer because the heat/humidity was too much. I am only now doing late evening outdoor runs. Fall and spring are best for me outside - winter is no good because the very cold is also too much. It could be something like this for you. Fall, however, is typically a pretty good time to run outside!

Re: Easier to run in the summer vs fall?
Humidity makes me sluggish & difficult to run but like you I can't run in the cold either... hurts my chest also & my nose runs & I'm just generally uncomfortable. I like it warm but low humidity for running.

Fall/spring is the best time for me. Hence why my first half marathon is in October!!!!

Fall and Winter running are my favorite! As long as I'm properly dressed, winter (cold) running is the best.
