Spinoff to cupcake thread
DS starts Pre-K on Monday in a brand new school and his birthday is Tuesday. Today he had orientation and went with Dh. They gave a list of "healthy" snacks we can send in for his birthday. How do I make this special for him? TIA

Re: Spinoff to cupcake thread
I would do fruit kabobs. I did them for DD's class last year and they were a BIG hit with her kindergarten class.
I used straws (just poke a hole through the fruit first with a skewer) and doubled the bendy part over to make a handle for them to hold. You can also use popsicle sticks.
One of the kids was so excited because he had never had mango before and loved it! I think I did mango, pineapple, blueberries and strawberries.

Making sure there are no fruit allergies, I'd opt for a fruit kabob (kind of like edible arrangements). Maybe do a banana smoothie that you can pour for the kids.
