Need recommendations for cute bar or lounge in the city to meet friends for drinks for my birthday on Saturday night
We want to meet friends up for drinks after having dinner just the two of us, DH and I. Does anyone know of a place in the city that is not too loud and not too trendy but just lovely and has good drinks. Anyone? Midtown and downtown preferred.

These are all in my hood (Midtown East) but nice places!
1066 Eno (Sushi)
Maya (Mexican)
Le Colonial (French/Vietnamese. The upstairs lounge is fantastic!)

I'd suggest a wine bar. There are tons in the city. Not sure what area you'll be in for dinner, but I guarantee you'll be near a good wine bar.
