Can someone please interpret these test Scores?
I am trying to decide if I should spend $$$$$ on another eval for DD to see if she has Aspergers Syndrome. These are score from prior tests, does anyone know if they are even borderline?
Asperger's syndrome diagnostic scale McCarton Center NYC Aspergers Syndrome Quotient - 73- unlikely probability of Aspergers Syndrome Test done 3 years ago at age 5
SSIS test Cody Center Autism Spectrum Raw Score-16- above average Test done 1 year ago, age 7
Thanks

The numbers are meaningless to anyone unfamiliar with those particular tests. Do you have percentiles? They are the same across all standardized tests. Based on the descriptions, it seems as if she isn't in the borderline range. Both tests seem to have the same result. Because both tests, 2 years apart by 2 different evaluators came up with the same result, I wouldn't pay to have another evaluation for autism/aspergers. What are you seeing at home that concerns you? Is your DD having trouble functioning at school?

I agree--my son shows as above average on the autism scales on the basis of some behaviors, but is not borderline (has numbers similar to above). We keep an eye on it, as does his school.
Why would you pursue another test? Are you trying to get ABA therapy that isn't covered/encouraged by the school?
I wouldn't pursue the label unless you feel it will get you therapies not otherwise covered, but if you pursue an independent test, the district may not recognize the findings anyway. My district does not accept reports from the Cody Center as basis for therapy recommendations.
