Negotiating...

I was recently offered a freelance job. My DH thinks I should negotiate the rate, but looking on various websites it appears they are already paying me a "high" rate. Would you still try to negotiate?

I don't see it hurting to try, as long as the rate you are asking for is within reasonable range based on what they already offered you, and if you can back up with examples of what you would offer them to pay you a higher rate.

The worst they can say is no.
