Need recomendation for OB/GYN
I want to switch doctors. In the New Hyde Park area? Or neighboring communities. Also, I prefer a female.

I know you said you would prefer female, but I highly recommend University Plaza OB/GYN! It is a group, there are 7 drs. 4 male, 3 female. I found that using a group is great because there is ALWAYS a dr. available and I NEVER had to wait when I had an appointment. All the drs are really nice and they get to know you well! I had a great experience with them. (I just delivered this past April)
They are located on Stewart Avenue in Garden City. Their # is 222-0722.
Throughout your pregnancy you have to meet with each dr, because you dont know who will be on rotation when you deliver.
During your regular yearly checkups, you can make your appointments with which ever doctor you feel most comfortable with.
They are affiliated with Winthrop. AND they hold lamaze/ baby care classes in office, with a nurse from Winthrop.

I just saw Dr. Oppenheim yesterday. she is one of the Doctors in my practice. You have to see all the docs that deliver since you don't know who will be on cwll when you do go into labor. I would definately recommend her too.

i absolutely love my practice in new hyde park, northern ob/gyn. There are some female doctors there, people RAVE about Dr. Wendy Fried, she is fantastic. I use one of the male dr's but I will eventually see them all.
