How to make the turkey ?

Ok so decide what kind of turkey. My next question is
How do I cook the turkey??
Roasting pan with lid?
Without lid??

I want it to be moist and full of flavor with crispy outside...

Any cooking tips greatly appreciated, first timer and very anxious

Alton Brown's Good Eats Roast Turkey. The only variation I do is to roast the bird upside down. The breast won't crispy that way but it makes a huge difference

I roast it on a rack in a big roasting pan. Breast side up, covered with foil if it starts getting too brown

I follow the instructions for zorn's. You can google them. we also get a fresh turkey from them.

We cook it breast side down. Having the dark meat on top, the fat dips down and self bastes the turkey. It is sooooooo juicy!
