Tomorrow, for the first time in 6 years...

I'm going to wear a skirt to work.

I feel like it's weird that I'm nervous about it. That people will comment and embarrass me. That people won't notice or comment at all.

I was going to wear tights, to further obscure my legs which I've been self-conscious about for a long time. But I found they actually made my legs look bigger, I think. So I'm doing nude stockings. I know, people hate stockings now, but I'm not brave enough to go bare. Yet.

You guys go through this too?

I always get nervous when I wear something different to work...that same feeling - will anyone notice, or no one at all! With me though, it's more about wearing more form-fitting tops.

Tops I got over a while ago because I figured I wanted to draw attention away from my lower body. I think form-fitting tops (not straining-tight) are really complimentary. So much more than straight line baggy things or cardigans.

I work with computers and at my last job I actually couldn't wear skirts because our server room had under-floor air conditioning that blew air up. I just got so used to slacks, and everyone I work with got used to seeing me that way too. This is really out of character for me.

And I'm wearing 4 inch heels as well. God what am I thinking!
