My Dear son getting MRI tomorrow
I have twins & one of them is behind.
He is having issues with motor skills. We are already in the EI system & get P/T 3X week O/T 2x week for my Twin B. He has low trunk tone although improving Greatly. His legs are high tone/rigid.
He is not crawling yet but doing the army crawl with one side. He was delayed sitting also but finally is doing that, although side sitting. He is also getting orthotics but they have yet to come in.
I am SOOO scared about the results because it can possibly be mild CP.
He is so smart & also says "Ball" already. He just turned One last week.
Please share your stories if anyone has been in this situation or are in it now.

Hoping the results come back okay. But wanted to say that I have treated children with mild CP and you wouldn't even know it. They are doing just fine!! Good luck!

Well, Good News the MRI came back NORMAL!!!!!!!!! I am so happy. We have a follow up with Dr. on tuesday. I am wondering what he will say because although my son has made HUGE improvements in the last 2 weeks...he still can't crawl & just turned one.

Yay!! Just keep up with the PT. After our MRI scare, he started crawling just after 1. Now at 16 months, he's just about walking. Everything is still at a slow pace, but as long as you see progression and improvements, that's what matters!

Thanks ladies...... a week before his first birthday he finally started pulling himself up to sit. He is doing the army crawl & can pull himself up to hands/knees just gotta get them moving. Love you ladies!!!!!!!! XO

Thanks everyone for the nice messages. We met with neuro today. Although the MRI came out clear, my son still has tight heel spurs. The Clear MRI is awesome.  The Dr said that is sign of MILD CP.  We are of course so sad but yet positive that he is making so much progress. He can now pull up to sit (side sitting) This started 6 days before turning one. He is also pulling to his knees. Our P/T is now trying to get him to take steps walking (will be a long slow process) but we will be happy with any progress.

So Just wanted to update that we finally got into see the neuro at Winthrop Dr. Kharode. SHe does not believe that my son has CP. There are NO SIGNS from what she is seeing. She thinks he is just delayed. He is now pulling himself up to stand on daily basis & doing great with standing with assistance & has even taken a few steps with our P/T. He is surely one determined little boy.

Dr. Kharode just said to see orthopedist for his feet which we will do next friday.
