Indestructable Toys

My choc lab is a maniac with her toys.

She chews so-called-indestructable toys in a matter of minutes. Rawhides are a joke & she has hard rubber poopy from swallowing peices of balls.

What are some hardcore toys I can get her so she actually keeps them around instead of devouring them? Im stuck!

Re: Indestructable Toys

There is no Kong tough enough for my dog....

The ONLY thing he cannot destroy is the Dino Nylabone

Nylabone

I also give him sterilized bones occasionally

I have tried EVERYTHING.....this is the only thing that works...other so called indestructibles....LIE!!!! LOL

good luck!

Re: Indestructable Toys

the nylabone double action chews lasted about a month before Gus ripped thru the middle, one has a green core, and the other has a blue core, and they are plastic on the end.....

the tire bitters, the large size, was a good investment...Gus ripped the rope part away in the first few minutes, but after that the tire part held up for a week or too, and it's a dental chew toys, so it helps clean thier teeth, and it won't make for wierd poop content.

he still hasn't been able to break open his large kong, or the kong ball....but all the other kong toys he ripped apart.

the best investment I ever made was buying a small marrow bone at petland discounts (petsmart doesn't carry the small ones)....and every morning I fill it with cheese (kind of jam it in there)....they are maybe $1.95, and he's only broken thru one so far.......

Also, I don't know how old your lab is (Gus is 16 months), but during those really bad chewing months, I always had frozen carrots for him, they really helped.

Re: Indestructable Toys

The only things Misty can't destroy (she is two) are chew hooves and the large marrow bones. Everything else I have bought has been dead meat.
Although, I did get a grey plastic ball from Target about a month ago that seems to have survived unscathed so far.

My two Yorkies have BOTH succeeded to chew THROUGH Kongs!!! You wouldn't believe it unless you saw it with your own eyes!

Re: Indestructable Toys

My Jack Russell is a chewing maniac! I have to buy toys meant for 80+ lb. dogs and he still destroys them. But his large Kong and large and medium sized Nylabones are holding up pretty well. I always feel bad that he doesnt get variety in his toys, but its jsut not safe.

I *think* we've tried a Kong. It looks familiar. Im going to grab a Nylabone tonight and see how it holds up.

Re: Indestructable Toys

the nylon bones work as do the kong toys.... i buy the toys that you add the treat into, tends to make JD focus on destroying the treat not the toy. I cant get squeaky toys, stuffed toys, or rawhide cause they all get destroyed.
