i feel dumb asking

ok im confused. you go to the dr in most cases 8 weeks after your last period. and i know that technically its 6 weeks after ovulation.

which date counts? i go to the dr next week and im freaking out. i cant handle another MC and i dont know if i am 6+wks or 8+wks... i really am curious so i know heartbeat wise.

this will also be the first time at a new office, new dr, new everything so im extra stressed.

Dr go by the first day of LMP (last menstrual period).
Gestation period is growth from fertilization but since its impossible to know the exact date Dr's go by LMP.
They shld be able to pick up hb after 6weeks (sometimes earlier). I know how anxious you are to see a flicker, went thru a loss myself & went to new Dr too. Good Luck to you.
