Another gift question! Do you give present for teachers of specials?
DO you give gifts for teachers of all the specials? Art, gym, music and library?

Yes, I give something small to each one-- one year it was a small set of jellies, another year a small bag of coffee. Like $5 or $6.

I do. Usually a Target gc ($20 from both kids) but this year I picked up ice scraper mitt things from Eddie Bauer.

I don't. Last year DS wrote out a card to his special teachers so we may do that again.

that is really nice but not necessary,,i am a school librarian and i get a handful of gifts and am always surprised (and very appreciative!) when i do! but i know how many people parents have to think about and it's a lot! it gets expensive!
none of the special area teachers expect it at all so don't worry if you don't. again, it's so nice but not expected at all :)

ITA, but maybe because of this, my kids give a DD GC to special areas.

I decided that I would like to give to the cafeteria lady who helps my son with pouring a drink that we often send & with wrappers. ow do I have to send to specials and other cateferia ladies? I am sure there are days when someone else helps but it is usually her.

We do, but something small. We are making clipboards for my DD's specials teachers with scrapbooking paper and modge podge for them. It cost me about $2 in materials for each one. Here are two we did so far. I have music paper for the music teacher and phys ed type paper for gym, etc. We also have box of chocolates for my son's that were like $3.99 (50% off). There are so many teachers between two kids, so I have to keep things reasonable.

Same here. I give a small box of holiday candy and a $5 gift card to DD to all the specials.
