Tray of Ziti tomorrow for Xmas Day?

Can I make a tray of baked ziti tomorrow (thurs.) in advance for Christmas Day? Or should I wait and do it Friday? Or is that still too long to keep it in fridge?

I wouldn't do it more than two days ahead. Ziti does freeze well though so if you need to, do it tomorrow of friday and then take it out the day before to thaw in the fridge.

I think I'll just make the sauce and meatballs tomorrow and then freeze that. Defrost sauce on Sunday and make everything Monday morning. Thanks all!

Yuck. No way. I wouldn't make it until at earliest Xmas Eve. Not only will it dry out and be mushy if you make it too early it is honestly kinda icky to a meal so far out and leave in the fridge. Chat Icon
