Gift Question
It's a little late, but I just wanted to know in general, do you give your principal a holiday gift?
I know there's the whole taboo topic of gifting up in other fields, but it's been on my mind and I wanted to see what others do//think.

I gave a card. We got some scary message about conflict of interest, gifts and what-have-you, so I just wrote a nice card.

Gift Question
I'm a perm sub and there are 5 of us. So we usually pitch in for something small for the principal and the secretaries. They know we make no money, so it's usually cookies or a glass ornament.

I teach first grade and the kindergarten and first grade teachers all chip in and gifts are purchased for principal, assis principal, and aides. For aides we did a lunch for them.
I hate giving the principal and asst principal gifts, i feel like we deserve gifts  but i go along with it

I think some in my building do, but I am not one of them..we chip in for secretaries, aides and custodians
