Smoothies Q
I have greek yogurt for breakfast every morning. I always want to have a smoothie later in the morning, but opt for oatmeal instead because it's more filling.
Does anyone use greek yogurt in their smoothies? I have frozen bananas, frozen berries and almond milk plus greens that I can add as well. Would the greek yogurt make it too thick?

Smoothies Q
I don't use any yogurt/milk in my smoothies or any powders, either...so I'm not much help, I suppose.
I do find if I have strawberries/raspberries/blueberries and a banana, it is very filling!

I don't use yogurt in my smoothies, but it might make it too thick. I use water, banana, greens and some frozen fruit and it comes out not super thick, but I don't know that I'd want it any thicker. Give it a shot though. If its too thick you could always just add some water and blend it a few more seconds.

Re: Smoothies Q
So I tried it this morning and it was good but I added too much almond milk and it was way too thin My fault! I will fix it for tomorrow.

Re: Smoothies Q
I definitely have! I love adding yogurt to my smoothies. You can also put oatmeal in the smoothies, too. It's so yummy!

I like my smoothies thick too but hate ice in them, so I freeze my bananas instead. I tried it with 1/2 cup of almond milk, 1 frozen banana, 6 oz Greek yogurt, and 2 scoops of greens and it was perfect! I may add some frozen berries next time.

Frozen berries are soooo good in them. Also - frozen pineapple with some orange slices that you freeze - and maybe a couple strawberries - it's so tropical tasting.
Can ya tell I'm on a smoothie kick? I love them. So healthy, filling and easy!

Re: Smoothies Q
I don't use yogurt in my smoothies. I usually make one that has almond milk, kale, frozen berries, banana and dates. I find the frozen berries and banana make it thick enough.

Re: Smoothies Q
Sometimes I do. I make a creamsicle smoothie that uses greek yogurt, coconut water, mango, and orange juice concenrate.
When I make strawberry banana I don't use the yogurt, but I use coconut milk which is thicker.
