I live in E Patchogue and have been traveling to Wading River for my PCP for many years, I am on thyroid meds so I need to go every 3 months and it is always a hassle, the office lost my file, the DR turn over is an issue for me and it is not worth the long drive..... so we have been looking for a new PCP - pref close to home and on our plan.

Well, our opthomologist gave us a recommendation of a DR she met at a meeting and he is located in EP.... Turns out he is about 3 minutes from us. Let me tell you I am picky.. we drive past the address and it is a house and the office is in the garage (red flag).... My DH dosen't care, he calls and makes an appt - he goes on a Friday night and comes home 1 1/2 hr later, and says the guy is NICE.... the office is a work in progress - whatever that means... So a few days later the DR calls to check up on DH and cort shot - which is nice - Now it is the following Friday and my appt - I drive the 3 min, go to the 'garage' and yes it is a work in progress but it looks like it will be 'nice' when all completed... there was no heat - but he had a space heater - well, let me share, I have a new PCP... he was NICE, he listened, he is accomodating and on the younger side and he makes house calls. He works at LIJ and Southampton and he is starting his own practice - if anyone is interested - FM me and I will share his info.
