Mederma
Has anyone used this for a scar? Did it work? I have a pretty big scar on my shin and started using Mederma soon after the wound healed. Its been a couple of months now and I don't really see much of a difference. Also, it says to put it on 3 times per day and it seems to leave a "film" each time I use it. Is that what its supposed to be like?
TIA!

Re: Mederma
I used the generic on a burn scar I had. I didn't have a film and didn't use it 3x a day. I actually forgot about the scar until I looked at this thread, and ahd to look for it. You'd have to look to know it was there. I'm going to go buy some more mederma for another scar I had, bc obviously it worked.

I used it on a surgical scar and I noticed a big difference after several months. I used it about twice a day.

Re: Mederma
I burned my calf on a motorcycle exhaust pipe and after the blister drained I used Mederma religiously several times a day. Yes the film layer is how it dried. And today (9 yrs later) you cannot see the scar unless I pointed it out which even I ave a hard time finding. I guess it all depends on the extent of the wound.

Some people just scar worse than others. I scar terribly, even from mosquito bites. Mederma does help, but it just depends on your skin and how significant the trauma was.
