30 Above classes to take??-Please help!
I am really trying to get motivated to take some online classes to get my 30+ credits over and done with. Does anyone recommend some classes to take? I already did a KDSI class and I am now taking some Google Apps for Educators course. Looking for the easy way out!

Did most of mine with kdsi. Are you looking for online or in person? I find the in person ones go quicker and are less work

I don't have the motivation to actually go to a class haha! I rather just do it online. What kdsi courses did you take? Easy? Hard? I did a technology one for struggling readers.

This sounds like a Newsday reporter phishing for information for yet another anti-teacher article.
If I am wrong, please forgive me, but when our profession is getting such a beating in the press these days, publicly focusing on the difficulty level of a class as a prime criterion for selecting it for professional advancement just seems wrong.
Taking additional credits and getting district credit for it is intended to help build your knowledge & skills; help your students; and make you a better teacher.

I agree. I completed my +60 over 7 years ago. Yes, a few of my classes were weekend classes but they were directly related to my curriculum area, inclusion, or lesson planning/techniques for the specific courses I teach... they were not "fluff".
The rest, and majority of them, were seminar level grad classes.
More and more districts are not accepting the "quicky weekend questionable classes" for step levels and I can't really blame them. If we are to be taken seriously as professionals we should have quality education/training.
In this economic climate, if I wasn't maxed out, the only classes I would take would be for an additional certification... if you are targeted for lay-offs or moved from FT to PT status, your FT job might be saved if they can split you between two subject areas.
