Vegetarian Slow Cooker?

I am seriously ready to give away my slow cooker. I don't see the point in it. I made one recipe in it and I realized it would have been just as easy to do on the stove in about 15 minutes and that seems to be the case for all of the recipes I looked at. one was insane to me. it had you take all of the ingreditents for the soup (kale, onion, garlic, spices) and cook them in a skillet and then put that away in the fridge and put JUST chicken broth (in my case veg broth) in the slow cooker for 4 hours before adding the kale back in until hot. What is the point? I can heat it on the stove in 10 min in the same pot I cooked the kale in.

I so far haven't found any recipes where the slow cooker saves me any time.

Maybe it's not worth it for a vegetarian. Do you have any recipes? What do you think?

veg chili. mushroom borginion (smitten kitchen recipe). veggie stew. tomato sauce. soup (not the recipe you posted which seems silly for a slow cooker).

But chili and soup only take about 30 min. How does using the slow cooker make it better/save time?

I really want to love this thing

Re: Vegetarian Slow Cooker?

I know what you mean...it took me some time to find recipes for the crock pot that are veg-friendly. Here are two links to sites with vegetarian recipes...the first one is all veg recipes and the second contains a decent amount of veg ones. If you're on Pinterest, look there - there's a lot.

Can't post links from my phone, so C&P:
