Long extended child care leave
Any teachers here take a long child care leave until your youngest started pre- school? like 4-7 years? I love what I teach and I like where I work. So I'm very nervous about losing seniority and my teaching position to my leave replacement because of it. Can anyone tell me the details on extended chilcare leaves??

im on LI and in my district the longest you can take for child care leave is 2 years per child. after that you forfeit your position. i believe most districts have similar leaves.
in nyc though i believe you can take a leave until the child enters kindergarten?
