Making yoga mat less slippery?
Hi everyone! I recently took up yoga and looooove it, however my mat is slippery. Well, maybe it's just that I'm super sweaty! I have a manduka mat that Is known as being really sticky, but I just keep sliding on it.
Is there any solution I can rub it down with to make it more sticky? Or do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

I use yoga gloves and socks, the kind with the grips on them. They aren't perfect but it's definitely an improvement.

Re: Making yoga mat less slippery?
I practice Bikram and find that my old, worn beach towels work best.
Certain poses (triangle mainly) I have to actually fold the towel off the mat because even the towel is slippery, and I find I slip less on the mat.
I'm cheap and haven't spent a lot of $$$ yet on yoga stuff. I mostly buy the Target variety.
Have been debating about the yogitoes, mainly because I'm cheap.

Re: Making yoga mat less slippery?
Manduka mats have a slight coating on them at first. With use the mat will get stickier and less slippery. If you go to their websites it gives you some info on how to remove that film.
