Jullian Michael Revolution DVD

Since I'm EBF, it's very hard for me to get out and go to the gym. I ordered the Jullian Michael Revolution DVD and I LOVE IT. Such a great workout and what I love more is that she makes it so much fun. I actually feel like I'm in the class with her and she's pushing me to finish the set. Today was my first day and so far I found it to be an easy workout but very effective. Let's see what tomorrow brings. I'm already excited and can't wait to go at it again.

Anyone else done this DVD?

no but thanks for recommending it!
i just completedt he 30 day shred to get myself back into decent shape in order to be able to do more.
i am currently doing her shed and shred and it's pretty good. i actually don't mind working out "with" her Chat Icon i don't get bored and like most of the moves and it goes fast. i'm in better shape for sure than i was 30 days ago.
going to look into the revolution one though!

Re: Jullian Michael Revolution DVD

I have it. I started 2 weeks ago and life got in the way. I will be going back to it by march. It is a great 28 to 34 minute exercise. I like that is different than 30 day shred.

That's great to know! Thanks for sharing! She's one of my favorites and I like that the DVDs are about a half hour. That's all I can spare these days!

Re: Jullian Michael Revolution DVD

I did it last year, well I did half of it (I kept repeating weeks) for about 3 months. Lost 15 lbs and 2 sizes an had really nice tone. And I had a broken toe.

I am starting it up again. I love that it is 30 minutes and is effective. I was never one to workout but this I can do.

There is a Facebook support page if you are interested.

Good to know!

Is it high impact? I started doing the 30 Day Shred but I have a herniated disc and, like an idiot, I re-injured my back doing the Shred. I felt it during the jumping jacks. Is Revolution similar?

well i can't answer completely yet b.c i am only on phase 1...and it's pretty gentle. the moves are isolated for now and the cardio segments are pretty tame too. i have the 30 day shred and her shed and shred and i will say that the phase 1 is pretty equal to the 30 day shred's phase 1. i was already a runner though so that maybe why it doesn't feel grueling.
if i was an exercise newbie i would def. find it a lot harder. i am thinking that phase 2 and beyond of this system are going to be intense and she does usually include jumping jacks b/c of they burn calories in short time. i wish i could be of more help and will post once i get to phase 2. bottom line is that she usually does get aerobic with jumps so if you are injured or have bad knees it could be tough. she is also big into planking and burpees etc. which can be tough on the shoulders and neck.

eta that i really do love this workout and her methods. it is the first time i have ever been interested in a home workout dvd. programs like p90x and insanity scare me
Chat Icon but this is do-able and i really can find a half hour in my day. i am really happy with the results i've seen already. i am doing WW too though and that has helped tremendously.

No but I totally want to order it. It's so hard to get to the gym with LO especially since she's to little for their babysitting. I figure I can put on a DVD while she naps. I think I will order it.

I don't have Revolution, but I'm doing the shred. I didn't buy the DVD, I've been doing the video off of YouTube

Some one on here recommended EMG Live Fitness Nd I love it! It basically streams live or on-demand workouts from real studios. It's not free. It's typically $5 a class, but they offer discounts. iI bought $50 worth of classes for $40 or they do a monthly unlimited. Plus, you get a free class just for registering. So far I've done piloxing, a barre class, and a kick boxing class. I was doing shred before but I'm more motivated to do these because its like going to a gym so each class is a little different and I don't get bored.

I'm doing the shred as an add on to my regular workouts- which are all different classes at NYSC. But on the days I can't get o the gym, I've found tons of great free workouts on YouTube. That website you mentioned sounds awesome though if I didn't already pay for a gym membership.

I'm still on phrase 1 but week 3 and it does begin to get high impact. She starts with jumping jacks as a warm up.
Week 3 is no joke, lots of planks. Thought I was going to pass out. But I still love it. I have done all sorts of home workouts and this is the first time that I look forward to working out at home. She motivates you and pushes you to your limits. It honestly feels like you're in the class with her.
I have already lost 5 pounds and lost 2 inches. Would have lost more but I don't follow her meal plan since I'm breastfeeding.
I'm about to do CD 4 from phrase 1, I'm kind of scare of what to expect but excited as well.

thanks for sharing and congrats on the loss-that's great! i am a week behind you and am a little worried about what's to come Chat Icon not looking forward to lots of planking! i have been losing too using this system and feel great. i have little kids and a husband who's never home so this dvd has been a lifesaver for me. i almost don't mind going to do it after the kids are asleep. hope it continues to be a positive experience!

Re: Jullian Michael Revolution DVD

On week 5 and oh boy it's challenging. CD 5 which was Monday was mostly about arms and still today I feel it. I just finish cardio 2 and it's all about high intensity. A lot of sweat in just 30 minutes. Still loving it though. 30 minutes go by so fast and it's so much fun.

I'm 8 weeks pp and I'm 5 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. Only difference is, my arms and upper back are more tone and I can do push ups which I couldn't do before.

I should add that in top of this workout, I do run 2-3 times a week but I don't watch what I eat.

I just started week 5 this morning...and it is a lot harder Chat Icon but I agree, I still really enjoy it-thank goodness!
congrats on doing so well especially after only 8 weeks-that's amazing!
I am just concerned about what to do once the 12 weeks are over..I really like this system and don't want to go back to what I was. I am wondering if i should continue doing it in different rotations and phases as I wish? I guess I'll figure it out once I get there!
keep updating if you can! :)
