5 yr old bday invites
My DD is in Pre K and Im having a party for her. Do u think I have to invite the whole class? Shes become friends with a bunch of the little girls, had playdates, etc and she talks about a few of the boys alot that she plays with at school. Its a big class and honestly the place Im having the party is small.
Honestly I would rather not invite the whole class because between cousins and neighbors, the number is getting way too high..BUT I dont want to insult/upset anyone either so I dont know what to do
Thoughts?

Re: 5 yr old bday invites
It's perfectly understandable. I have twins in K... no way am I inviting 40 of their classmates That being said, classroom/school etiquette guidelines are you mail the invites to the classmates houses. Unless you are inviting the entire class, most teachers/schools will not put them in the folders.

Re: 5 yr old bday invites
When my sons were in PreK, they invited only 3-4 of their best friends from their classes. Mostly the kids we did playdates or activities with outside of school.
I think if you aren't inviting a majority of the class/just leaving a few out - there is no reason why you can't just invited a few. My son just turned 8 and this was the first year he invited all the boys from his class (had an all boys party). Just happens by 2nd grade he had a relationship with almost every boy in his class outside of school.

Re: 5 yr old bday invites
I have never invited the full class. Inlet DS pick a handful of kids he wants to invite and that's it.
