Swimming or Aquatic Therapy
Can anyone recommend a great place that they took their DC for swimming lessons that is accustomed to children with special needs. My DC has physical delays so he needs a swim teacher that has experience with this.
We live on the South Shore of Western Suffolk.
Anyone use the JCC in Commack for Aqua Therapy?

Re: Swimming or Aquatic Therapy
My DD went to the YMCA in Patchogue. I believe the man who worked with her was a PT. I know I can find the info if you need it.
DH took her weekly and he said the guy was really great with her, and gave them lots of tips and exercises to work on. It was pretty much held as a parent-child swim class, but the PT was there to work with the few kids he was assigned to. They really enjoyed it, but it ended up getting cancelled because DD was the only one enrolled. I should look into it again to see if there are more kids now that we can get back into it.
