What can I substitue?
Making fish tacos tomorrow night and the recipe calls for Mahi Mahi. just went to Fairway where I buy all my fish and they don't have it there. I was thinking swordfish. What do you think??

What can I substitue?
I'd use any thick cut white fish. Anything thin like tilapia might fall apart. can you ask the fish guy there?

Re: What can I substitue?
Cod has a similar thickness and texture, and is very mild flavored. I think it would be ideal.

Halibut and grouper are good options for tacos.

Re: What can I substitue?
sole, flounder, catfish. Any mild white fish should be fine. if your not sure, ask the guys at the fish market there. They are good about knowing what tastes similar to fish not in stock.
