do your cats throw wild parties at night?

Lately our two cats have been going NUTS after we go to bed.

When we wake up, things are knocked over, and the area rugs have been dragged all over the place on the wood floors. Small items are knocked off the kitchen counter (iPod, etc). They are such devils. They wait for us to shut the bedroom door and then the party begins! And we wonder why they sleep all day

I hear little feet running up and down the stairs all night They are def having some ragers!

Yes! My kitten takes a nice nap from about 9pm to 11pm and just when DH and I are about to go to bed we hear her running all throughout the house. We crack up in bed. She is crazy!

I only have 1 cat and she is the same way! It used to scare me when I'd hear noises downstairs at night. I always thought someone was breaking in to the house. I've heard that cats are nocturnal so that probably explains it lol

Oh yeah our little guy especially then plays all innocent by the time we wake up sleeping at my feet lol

Yes, my little devil likes to run and jump the walls during the night, but my downstairs neighbor doesn't really like that.
Sounds like I have a pack of bulldogs when she runs.
That's why I have to keep her confined to the bedroom at night.

Lol yup mine do it too! When they were kittens it was much worse- they would whine outside our door, run around, knock things over! I read that cats will play and "hunt" when they are hungry. So the pattern usually goes - play/hunt , eat, groom, sleep. We started feeding our cats right before bed now instead of in the morning and they seem to calm down after. They still have their moments though.

My 3 throw raves every night, it's up the stairs, down the stairs, around the corner, slide on the kitchen floor and knock over the water bowl, run into the living room and use the couches as trampolines, then back to the stairs. It's like a herd of elephants throughout my house

Lol. I'm laughing as I read this post. Since my cats are locked away during the day since the house is under construction at night its like catapalooza. Had to tell the construction guys not to leave their tools up on anything bc my cats take great entertainment in knocking everything down. Last night they discovered an empty large black garbage bag and spent a good portion of the night attacking it.
