mild indian recipe?
I love Indian food and would like to get DS to taste some of the flavors. Any recipes for a mild dish? DH is also super picky so I'd love something that he may eat too!

Re: mild indian recipe?
Chana Masala, but only if you love chickpeas.
Easy and healthy! I (well DH makes this recipe) use this recipe:
http://www.preventionrd.com/2012/12/meatless-monday-money-matters-channa-masala/
I double it for leftovers, and I use diced tomatoes because it's easier. If you want it mild try a milder chilie. I just get a plain green chili instead of jalapeno.
Do you want meat or veggie options?

I love the palak paneer and chicken tikka masala.
While they are not authentic, Trader Joe's has Indian food simmer sauces as well as the sides.
This might be a good way to at least get him to try.
While I love Indian food out, it does a number on my stomach.

Re: mild indian recipe?
Recipes with "curry" powder or garam masala are not considered mild. Ingredients for more simple lentil or veg dishes are cumin and/ or mustard seeds, a little onion or garlic, cumin powder, turmeric, salt maybe a sprinkle of sugar.

Re: mild indian recipe?
Thanks for these ideas! I actually want him to eat more lentils for the iron - so that's great! He's not a big meat eater too so this will be nice new options.
