My kitten is in heat!!
My kitten, Marigold is about 8 months old and she *just* started. We have an appointment with the vet to get her spayed on Thursday (the first appointment they had)...but is there anything I can do for her until then?
The poor little thing looks miserable!! She's looking for love and just can't find it!
Advice on any ways to help her?

Honestly, I would be VERY LEERY if they spay a cat in heat. I was told by my vet that they cannot spay dogs in heat b/c of the increased blood flow to the uterus can make them hemorhage. That we needed to wait a few weeks after the heat to do the spay. So please look into this before you take her.
What can you do? Not much, they do sell underwear they can wear if they bleed. I had to put that on my female dog who went into heat before we had a chance to spay her. And OH, MAKE SURE SHE CANNOT FIND A WAY OUT!!!!!! She may get desperate and try to break free to meet a man. LOL

My kitten is in heat!!
My cats both had one heat each (not by choice, it just happened that way) and there isn't really anything you can or need to do except not let her get outside. Maybe you can play with her more so that she is really tired and not so focused on procreating.
I spayed my cat the week after her first heat. I mentioned it to the vet and she said they spay them even during their heats. I don't know if dogs and cats are different though because like PP said... I always thought you shouldn't spay until after the heat was over.

Not much you can do but except be extra dillegent in making sure she can't get out. Also, I wouldnt google it. I did and after reading an article about a man, a kitty and a q-tip, I am scarred for life

My poor male cat (fixed!!!) is traumatized by this....his sweet innocent kitten is shoving her assss in his face and trying to get some action from him!
My husband isn't handling it so well either.....

She had the surgery today and all went well! 
We can pick her up tomorrow and not have to worry about her humping anything else!
