Maternity Leave and Excessing
Does anyone know...
I am currently on maternity leave with plans to return in September. Dumb move to take full year maternity leave bc I lost some seniority. If they don't have a job for me come September, do they still have to excess me, and I would get unemployment, even though I didn't work this year?

I was excessed in June of 2011. I took maternity from March 2011 til June 2011. I know its not that same, but I was eligible for unemployment.

no, i stopped work March 19th I believe, and did not return.

as far as excessing, yes they would still excess you, and you would be the called back at whatever number you are on seniority
