f status help!!

Hi! I am a teacher in queens and need to go from full time to part in sept coming. I tried to figure out what my monthly salary would be but given the guidelines from the DOE today I would be making $600 for an entire year!! Can anyone share with me how much they make per month on F status? I have 12 years on job. Would love a sabbatical but not an option

That is not correct. I work f-status. You get paid for whatever days you work at a per diem rate which is about $300 a day plus taxes taken out.
So right now my schedule is Mon Thurs Fri if I work those days I get paid. If the school is closed on Monday I don't get paid for that day
It's hard to say monthly because it really depends how many days you worked. One month I worked 12 days this month it will be 9 due to spring break


Just wanted to add my w2 for 2012. In which I worked 3 days from jan-June and sept to dec. was about $26,000

I believe it was 9 years when I started working f-status
This is my second year doing it. Just know you don't accumulate any years while working f-status

DO most schools still do F-status? I thought a lot stopped? This would be ideal for me.

Its totally up to the principal. He or she can make a position suitable for f status. I dont think I will do it. I just spent 4 days straight with my 4 kids!! Maybe I'll work full time till they go to school. Lol
