Post baby exercise
I am 4 weeks pp and I am dying to start working out again! I never asked my dr when I could start. I had a vbac and an episiotomy but felt really good within a week.
When did you start working out? What did you start with? Did you jump right back in? With my twins I was very deconditioned from bed rest so at first long walks were exercise for me.

Re: Post baby exercise
With DC #1 I waited 7 weeks, but I tore very badly with that delivery and it took a while for me to feel ready to run. WIth DC #2, delivery and recovery were much easier, and my doctor said I could resume running at 2-3 weeks if I felt up to it, so I did.
I run, so I was able to jog a few miles (maybe 3 or so) right away, very slowly, and I just worked on building my mileage up slowly. I am 6 months PP and my speed is still not where it was before, but I'm not in a rush.
To be honest, sometimes I think I did too much too soon. I still have sciatica and a couple other lingering "pregnancy" issues that I think might not be such big issues if I had waited a little longer, or taken it a little more slowly, so the best advice I can give you is to ease into it, and listen to your body.

Post baby exercise
I started working out 2 weeks after. I had a vaginal delivery w/ only 2 stitches, bleeding stopped after a week and a half, and I felt great. I started off just walking brisk on the treadmill for the first couple weeks. And then I gradually went into jogging. At my 6 week checkup my dr told me no restrictions, so then I started doing full body workouts...Jillian Michaels DVDs Listen to your body though, if you start feeling any pain or increased bleeding, then stop or slow down.

Like the other girls said, it's important to listen to your body and ease into. Only you know how you feel and what is too much.
I started everything by 6 weeks pp- running, weights, etc. It did take me a little while to build back my endurance though, so just be careful.
Good luck and congratulations!!!!

I had a csection and felt great within days. I was give a clear at 8 weeks but started at 7. It was tough. I would start slow and see how you feel.

I did the same thing. But I started at 3 weeks and at 6 weeks PP I started Jullian Michaels DVD's. I started running at 4 weeks.

Re: Post baby exercise
My SILS introduced me to hot yoga after DS was born and it's been the best workout!
An added bonus is the "me" time ;).
