pls help with my DS iep
My sons IEP was updated when we moved OOS in sept. I knew he was recieving too few services, but they wouldnt budge and told me to wait to see progress.
Fast forward to now, his 6 month progress report. My son has no diagnosis, but has a severe speech delay. Actually I was told for 2 years it was apraxia, but now they are saying its not. Im at my wits end, he used to be in a language based classroom before we moved, now im being told they dont exist here.
I threatened I would get a lawyer, now his speech teacher is telling me shes been worried about him since day 1. Is this what i need to do to make sure he recieves the services he needs? Abtain a lawyer?
Any advice id really appreciate. And thanks for reading!

What state are you in? There can be some variability in law by state. I would start by reaching out to a local advocates group.
