SDD & SDFA tests...anyone else's DH had this?
I can't really find much info on these tests and what I do find does not sound promising. I have my DH's results but we have not met with the doctor yet (switching doctors...long story). Anyone else's DH had these? I guess they are pretty advanced tests and I think they are somewhat new.

I'm sorry I've never heard of these tests. Can you tell me what they are are for?
Thanks...

I was curious because DH has low count and I don't think he has taken these tests. According to the company's website, these tests go further than the typical SA.
The SDD is the and Sperm DNA Decondensation and the SDFA is the Sperm DNA Fragmentation Assay.
The company's site said that "the SDD and SDFA tests can identify those men whose sperm may look fine, but whose efforts--even with IVF and ICSI--are likely to lead to persistent infertility. Taken together, these tests provide the clearest indication of a sperm's ability to successfully achieve pregnancy and live birth."
Here's the company's website:

Re: SDD & SDFA tests...anyone else's DH had this?
We have an appointment on 9/26 to go over these results with the doctor. It looks like his results are abnormal so I am very worried now. I posted this on another site and someone told me that there hasn't been enough research on these tests yet and not to worry. I guess I should just wait and see what the doctor says. Anyone else have experience with these tests?
