IUD-paragard
Anyone get the IUD paragard and every period after getting it have sharp pains the week before you get your period? It's not cramps, but sharp pains that I never had before getting this. Plus, now I get extremely heavy periods...insanely heavy, its gross! I can't take any bc with hormones...it makes me a raging lunatic. I have an apt with my dr this thurs but was just wondering if anyone else encountered this?

IUD-paragard
I had very, very heavy periods the first few months after I got my paraguard IUD. It took about six months for things to go back to normal. My doctor recommended taking Advil to help with the cramps and bleeding.

I had the same experience and more. I had it taken out after 2 years. Everything went back to normal after.

I have had it for 1 year 4 months and after 6-8 months everything went back to normal. I only had heavier periods for that time.
