Injection site

YEsterday morning where I did the injection, it is all red and bumpy and very painful...like a rash but large raised area with red bumps around it? About the size of a half dollar or a little bit bigger.

Now yesterday evening and this mornings shot ( on other side of my belly button ) is fine..no redness

What the heck is this? It hurts a lot when my pants touch it or I try to sit up and my fat stomach hits it

What should I do? ICE?

Sounds like there might have been some liquid on the needle that touched your skin.

Happens to me too. I don't do anything, and it goes away eventually.

Just try to make sure the liquid is not on the end of the needle before you inject...if so, just change it to aviod the irritation.

OK....

That often happens with Repronex for some reason...

A lot of people get welts from it.

When you inject tonight or tomorrow, again, try to make sure the needle does not have liquid on it...make sure you change it after mixing, and don't shoot any out after until its in you.

If that doesn't help, I would call your RE.

I dont use the needle to mix....

The bravelle comes with a Q Cap , so I mix with that.

I just goggled it and it says its common with repronex ( great! )

IT says To try a cortisone cream to help with the burning and itching.

It doesnt hurt to do the injection but the site gets so red and bumpy and if I barely skim my finger against it, it makes me wanna scream.

Stupid crap we go through

BUT Im gonna run out of spots on my stomach soon doing this 2x a day.

this is just preperation for the shots in your azz

It does get easier, I swear or I wouldnt be on my 4th try. I agree with Lisa though make sure the needle is dry.

my stomach was loaded with big red welts and black and blues, that hurt and itched a lot. it looked and felt like i was kicked in the stomach a million times!!

i didn't do anything and eventually they went away.

sooo sorry it's hurting you that much. as if we aren't going through enough!!

thanks! i feel better knowing its normal. I just wasnt expecting this. The previous injectables never did this.

I asked the Dr. For an RX for some cream for it and he said no. It will go away.
