Food for 50 people (enough and what do you think of the choices?)
Enough for 50 and do you like the choices?
Full tray baked ziti Full tray bow tie pasta with broccoli Rabe & sausage Full tray eggplant parm Full tray chicken Marsala Glazed sliced ham 1/2 tray Full tray fried large shrimp 1/2 tray of rice pilaf or wild rice (help me pick which one would go with the rest of the food) Full tray Caesar salad Bowl of string bean, tomato, potato, cucumber salad with balsamic dressing
Now I'm having about 25 kids and not sure if the above should count WWYD for them?
I've always done heros and find they never go.

I think it sounds good. If anything, maybe add a hot vegetable. As far as the kids go, just get some chicken fingers and either fries or Mac n cheese.

I think your choices sound great. Are the kids included in the 50? If that's the case I don't think you need full trays. That's a lot of food you listed for 25 adults and I think 1/2 trays would be fine. I agree with pp about getting chicken fingers and fries or Mac & cheese for the kids.

I think you need to add a few more "plain" items. Like a regular salad, maybe some grilled veggies, and a fish if you could. It all sounds really good, but really heavy. I don't know what it's all for but depending on the venue and people you may have people that want a salad, veggies and salmon. Could you swap out a pasta maybe for it?

Food for 50 people (enough and what do you think of the choices?)
is it 50 adults and 25 kids or 50 including the kids?
i vote for wild rice
some kids will eat a simpler salad... so like others have said, i'd include a garden salad
sounds yummy

Re: Food for 50 people (enough and what do you think of the choices?)
Thanks everyone I'm tweaking because I agree it does sound heavy. My number doesn't include the kids.
I'm going to do large cold shrimp cocktail platter instead of the fried shrimp. Will do wild rice instead of pilaf and tray of Mickey Mouse chicken nuggets ( I hear they are good from Costco) & tray of Mac and cheese. I'm also going to do a regular mixed salad instead of Caesar.
