Elementary Reading Interview help please!

I am going for a callback interview for an Elementary Reading position. They said that the interview is going to include more in depth questions.

Anyone have any sample questions? What I should prepare for? I was excessed 2 years ago, and had a fifth grade leave last Jan-June, so I am a little nervous because I haven't had to implement common core first hand...just know it based on what I am reading...I know close reads are huge, so I would like to brush up on that.

Thank you so much in advance!

Nyc and a lot of districts are using TC readers workshop. I would definitely talk.about that. Also they may ask what you know about Wilson. Many use the fundations program K-2 and wilson reading system for struggling (decoding) readers grade 2 and up.

I would be familiar with RTI and the shift to close reading. I would also think about how you will support teachers with he common core. There is now fifty fifty fiction vs non fiction. Using evidence to support answers and claims. Also using multiple texts to answer a question. How will you help students with inferring and havin student self evaluate themselves.

Vocabulary development is big also and exposing students to more complex text so looking at the Lexile and using scaffolding techniques.

I think most of NYC is moving away from from Teachers College, but still using it for F & P running records.
