Fountas and Pinnell Help for a HS Math Teacher
I received my DS and DD's reading assessment.
DS is in KG and was rated Early Beginning Level D, E, F
DD is in 1st and was rated Advanced Transitional L, M.
Can someone tell me what this means in layman's terms? As a math teacher, I have no clue to any of this elementary stuff and honestly the little description does nothing for me.

Thanks...sometimes I feel stupid reading the different test results from school because I am not familiar with what children should be doing at the early levels, especially with reading.

This is the link for the reading level benchmarks put out by Teachers College. I can't get it to do the hyperlink from the iPad.
