to me, it's not 'grilled' chickedn unless it's on the BBQ - I hate the George Foreman grill and the grill pan ....... I need those black, cripsy grill lines !!
What about baking it?

I grill on the outside bbq in the summer but in the winter, we bought an electric grill from kohls. It is great!

I read somewhere to do it in the grill pan to get the lines, but finish baking in the oven.

I used the grill pan. And to clean it I put the temp up really hot after removing the chicken and putting water on the pan, a little at a time. it helps to loosen up what is stuck to the pan (BBQ sauce, marinades, etc) I use an old wooden spoon to scrape the pan.

Re: Making grilled chicken in the house (not BBQ)
Thanks for all the suggestions I am avoiding getting a George foreman for space reasons. I do like it just baked in the oven and I will use the suggestion on how to clean the pan
