Twins in Toddler Beds
Hi ladies!
I'm just curious...mommies that have twins in toddler beds in the same room...
My twin sons are two and have been sleeping in toddler beds since April. One of them loves his bed and will go out like a light the second his head hits the pillow. The other one gets up in the middle of the night, crying for us at the gate. I'm just curious what other mommies do. Do you let him/her cry? Do you pick them up? I'm just so nervous about him waking up his brother and/or going into his bed.
I'm going to post this on the parenting forum as well. Thanks!!

Re: Twins in Toddler Beds
Hey! Mine aren't there yet but what I would do is move the good sleeper out temporarily and work on the other. Let him cry if you are comfortable with that. Once he is sleeping well move the good sleeper back in. Good luck!

Re: Twins in Toddler Beds
Hello my friend!
That's not a bad idea! J sleeps so well at night, N is the needy one. He's been having temper tantrums lately in the den as I'm putting J to bed. He wants my one on one attention all the time.
The good thing is I have a system for putting them to bed. The bad thing is N is usually looking for me around 2 am. I separate them for naps and that seems to be working.

Re: Twins in Toddler Beds
I used to put him back in his bed and lay on the floor next to the toddler bed until he fell back to sleep. It was a pain in the neck but both boys sleep good now in their twin beds. They are 5.5 now so toddler beds are long gone.

Re: Twins in Toddler Beds
My twins are almost 3 and have been in toddler beds for a couple of months now. My son is the one that falls asleep fast and stays asleep all night. My daughter takes a little longer to fall asleep and usually wakes up crying during the night for some reason about once a week. I usually just go in the room and tell her she has to be quiet because everyone else is sleeping and she needs to go back to sleep again. She never really puts up much of a fight. Somehow my son always sleeps through it no matter how long or loud she is crying.
Unless you plan on sperating them permanently sometime soon then I probably wouldn't separate them. It might be too confusing.

I did the same. My triplet boys have been in toddler beds since they were 21 months ( not by choice but I had an early climber). My oldest ( the climber) would cry around 2:00 am every morning. I would lay own on the floor next to his bed until he went back to bed. They are 23 months now ( will be two next weekend) and he is not getting up at all...YAY! Good luck!

Triplet boys! God bless you!! It seems that laying on the floor is my best bet! Thank you so much!! Happy early birthday to your boys!!
