Interview on Thursday....Please help!

I just received an email about a position that has opened for P.S./M.S. 004 Crotona Park West in the Bronx. <----- anyone have any feedback for this school?

I am scheduled to interview on Thursday.

I currently work in a NYC Charter School and am desperately looking to get out ASAP.

I have not been on an interview in nearly two years.

I am also a fairly new teacher (less than 3 years) and I am so nervous!

Please help me prepare.

I **think the position is for a general education teacher but I am not sure, as I am also certified SPED.

What are they going to ask me? What should I bring with me?

I feel so unprepared!

I don't know that school. They will probably ask you about the common core standards and how your teaching impacts student learning. If you have a portfolio of student work that shows student growth I would bring that. You can put lesson plans and observations in the portfolio. They may ask you about how you communicate with parents and what you can bring to their school. You really never know. Good luck.

Definitely be prepared with the common core standards! I would have examples of awesome lessons in math and reading. Discuss how you incorporate SS and Science in reading and writing. There is also a big focus on vocabulary and critical thinking. I would imagine they would ask about your parent communication and behavior management plan. Good luck!
